Record Time: "Hey Pachuco!"

Howdy folks, I hope everyone has had a fantastic week. It's been a rainy week here. So, I've been doing a lot of reading. I just finished Neil Gaiman's "American Gods." It's a novel that expertly blends fantasy, mythology, and Americana into an epic story. I highly recommend adding it to your reading list.

This week's playlist is all about old-school big-band jazz and swing. Be ready for some smooth piano, thundering drums, and roaring horn sections. The inspiration for this week's playlist comes from the show Netflix original show "Ripley." The show is based on Patricia Highsmith's 1955 Thriller novel "The Talented Mr. Ripley."It's a fantastic thriller shot in Italy on black and white film. Every shot looks like a work of art. If you find yourself in the mood for an edge-of-your-seat thriller I highly recommend watching it.

I've been a big band fan for most of my life. One of my favorite artists of all time is Big Bad Voodoo Daddy so I had to include their hit "Mr. Pinstripe Suit."
